Swapped to a sport exhaust and now I’m getting a CEL – what did I break?

So I got excited last month and installed a catback performance exhaust on my 2016 Volkswagen Golf R. It sounds amazing but about two weeks later the check engine light came on with a code saying catalyst efficiency below threshold. I kept my stock downpipe and the original catalytic converter so I’m confused why this is happening. I’m thinking maybe the change in exhaust flow or backpressure is messing with the oxygen sensor readings. I need a high-performance exhaust catalyst repair Dubai that understands modified cars and can either tune out the code or figure out why my cat isn’t happy with the new setup. I saw Dynostar’s catalytic converter page and they mention working with aftermarket exhaust systems which is rare to find here. Has anyone else put a catback on their car and gotten a P0420 code even with the stock converter in place? Did you need a tune or a spacer or something else? Really don’t want to put the quiet exhaust back on but also can’t live with the CEL forever. Any advice from the car modding crowd would be awesome. Cheers.
