My Audi A4’s check engine light is blinking not just on, blinking

I am really scared right now and I need urgent advice. I have a 2016 Audi A4 that I bought used about a year ago. Today on my way home from work in Abu Dhabi, the check engine light started blinking. It is not staying on like normal. It is flashing on and off. The car also started shaking a little bit when I was stopped at a traffic light. The shaking stops when I drive. A friend told me that a blinking check engine light means something serious is wrong, like the engine is misfiring. He said I should stop driving immediately. But I need my car to get to work tomorrow. I don’t know what to do. I have been looking for an Audi specialist and I found a website where I can check out this page now for Audi repair in Abu Dhabi. Has anyone else had a blinking check engine light on their Audi? What was the problem and how much did it cost to fix? Is it really dangerous to drive? Can I drive slowly to a garage, or should I have the car towed? I am not a car expert so I don’t know what a misfire means or how much damage it can cause. Please tell me what to do. I am very worried about my car and my safety. Any advice would mean a lot to me right now. Thank you.
