I recently replaced the battery on my 2019 BMW X5, and since then, the car has been acting a bit weird. The auto start-stop system isn’t working properly, the power windows are playing up, and there’s a persistent warning light on the dash that won’t clear. I’ve done some reading and it seems like these newer BMWs need the battery to be registered and the ECU reprogrammed after a replacement, otherwise, the car’s systems don’t function correctly. I took it to a local garage and they just reset the basic codes, but the issues are still there, which is really frustrating.
