Illinois is the biggest market of the Midwest and the home of more than 22,000 corporate headquarters, a bustling business scene, and more than 1.2 million small enterprises, has the infrastructure that firms require to flourish in today's competitive business. The world's best infrastructure connects companies to customers and suppliers to highly talented workforce in various industries as well as an advanced manufacturing base - Illinois excels in a variety of areas including advanced and sustainable agriculture, energy, IT life sciences, transportation logistics.
Illinois has witnessed a significant international investment growth in recent years. Countries like Britain, Japan, Germany and China were among those most invested in Illinois and by 2023, this amount reached over USD $13.2 billion across the agribusiness, manufacturing and manufacturing sectors in Illinois alone.
In 2014, over $1 billion in incentives has been distributed under Illinois Reimagining Energy and Vehicles program to businesses that offer electric vehicles and clean energy production. In the last month, DCEO also provided PsiQuantum Manufacturing with an incentive package worth more than $200 million for their new advanced facility in East Alton.
Governor JB Pritzker accompanied by representatives of Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, Chan Zuckerberg Biohub Network and local officials today in Chicago to officially launch CZ Biohub Chicago - a groundbreaking research hub that is at the forefront in scientific studies. Governor JB Pritzker and Flender Corporation recently announced they have expanded their plant for manufacturing in Elgin which will create 50 full-time positions while keeping the 140 full-time jobs they have currently.
The Illinois Small Business Development Center at Southern Illinois University is funded by a co-operative agreement between U.S. Small Business Administration, illinois bench press contest (www.speedrun.com) Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity and Southern Illinois University. The Center provides entrepreneurs in the area with support for the creation or expansion of their businesses through services such as free workshops on business planning individual counseling sessions with experienced Business Advisors, and access to financing options.
State leaders in Indiana are informing employers to provide higher wages and benefits as a way to keep child care workers in the country which is a problem due to a shortage of jobs. The decision comes after the closure of a care center in Bronzeville that struggled to keep its employees.
Illinois Department of Labor also introduced an online tool to provide small-sized businesses with information on labor laws. Employers can search for keywords or browse through categories on this site, and connect to the appropriate state agencies and information sources.
Illinois Business Development Authority (IBDA) has taken steps to raise awareness of Illinois tax incentives to business expansion. The IBDA hosted the IBDA's webinar this week about this topic. The event was recorded and will later become archived and posted on their site.
