New generation journalists is leading the charge to revitalize local news coverage and mitigate the threat to the democratic process. Our aim is to raise unprecedented funds to strengthen proven solutions, while eliminating longstanding inequities in journalism coverage and practice.
Recent graduates and students recently unveiled the Austin Harvest produce market at its permanent site this week, bringing artwork and a sense of community in an area previously known for gun violence. News anchors from WBEZ Jackie Kostek visited to speak to the founders of the market who outlined their mission not just as providing food, but rather creating a more welcoming culture as one of their goals.
