Found a clean looking Wrangler Unlimited but the suspension feels off, worth an inspection?
Came across a 2016 Wrangler Unlimited Sahara at a lot in Al Quoz that’s got the exact color combo I’ve been hunting and the price is actually pretty fair for the mileage they’re advertising, but when I took it for a spin the steering had this slight vagueness on the highway and I could hear a faint clunk from the front end when I went over a speed bump, and the seller just kept saying “it’s a Jeep thing you get used to it” which might be true but also might be a worn track bar or a steering box on its way out or worse something in the front diff that’s been neglected, and I’m not trying to buy a project car that needs suspension work right off the bat when I just want something to take out to the desert on weekends without it trying to shake itself apart on the drive home, so I started looking into a Jeep Pre Purchase Car Check Dubai because I want someone who actually knows these JK platforms to put it on a lift and check the ball joints and the tie rod ends and see if there’s any play in the transfer case or if it’s just normal Wrangler looseness, anyone else bought a used Jeep around here and had an inspection reveal something the seller was hoping you wouldn’t notice, just trying to go in with my eyes open and not end up with a money pit that needs a full suspension overhaul in six months.
