So I’ve had my 2017 Camaro SS for about two years now and honestly it’s been a blast except for this one thing that’s been driving me absolutely crazy lately, every time I fire up the AC first thing in the morning or after the car’s been sitting in the parking lot at work all day there’s this musty damp smell that blasts out of the vents for the first couple minutes before it fades away, and my girlfriend refuses to get in the car until the smell clears out which is not exactly the cool muscle car experience I was going for when I bought this thing. I’ve already tried one of those AC bomb things from the auto parts store and had the cabin filter changed twice but the smell keeps coming back which makes me think there’s probably mold growing on the evaporator or maybe the drain line is partially clogged and water’s just sitting in there creating a science experiment every time I park, and I’m honestly tired of guessing and watching YouTube videos about it so I’m trying to find some decent Camaro AC Maintenance Technicians in Sharjah who can actually pull the blower motor and inspect the evaporator properly and maybe do a proper antimicrobial treatment that actually lasts more than a week. Anyone else dealt with this musty AC issue on their sixth gen and actually got it resolved for good, I just want my car to smell like leather and rubber again instead of a gym locker room every time I turn the key.
