Municipality is getting stricter about secondary containment and I think my old plastic pallets won’t cut it anymore

Had a friendly chat with an inspector last week at our Ajman site who politely pointed out that the “bunding” we’ve been relying on for the past three years is basically just a few faded plastic pallets with a rim so low they’d overflow if someone sneezed near them, and while he didn’t write us up on the spot he made it pretty clear that the next visit wouldn’t be so forgiving, so now I’m on a crash course trying to figure out what actually constitutes a proper spill pallet versus a glorified tray that just looks the part in a photo. I started searching for an advanced spill control systems UAE supplier because the usual suspects I deal with only seem to carry the same generic orange sump pallets that warp in the sun and crack around the drain plugs after a few months of use, and I genuinely need something with a bit more engineering behind it than just a molded piece of plastic that someone slapped a price tag on. I’ve seen Crateco pop up a few times in my searches and their locally made stuff looks promising but I’m trying to wrap my head around whether I need a full four drum workstation or if I can get away with a couple of heavy duty single drum trays and a decent length of absorbent boom around the perimeter. Anyone else gone through this upgrade recently and have a sense of what actually satisfies the inspectors without turning the warehouse floor into a confusing maze of yellow barriers that the forklift drivers will just curse at all day?
